Shaping her treatment philosophy, lifelong involvement in sport has taught Desirée the solid values of integrity, perseverance and an indomitable spirit, each of which she teaches her clients to help them in their recovery. Desirée is a firm believer that movement promotes healing on emotional, psychological and physiological levels.

In her spare time, Desirée can be found leading an active lifestyle through exercise and playing sports, and enjoying her family’s athletic and academic pursuits. Although playing soccer year-round is her favourite sport, Desirée also enjoys strength training, running, aquatic exercise, and enjoying the great outdoors to ski, hike, camp, and cycle. She lives by the slogan, "Use it or lose it; movement is freedom!"
